The premiere of „Scary Opera 2“ took place on 18.06.2016 at the Alhambra Oldenburg as a production of the Oldenburg State Theatre.

Scary Opera 1&2 were created for and with the ensemble of the Oldenburg State Theatre and are crossover pieces in the best sense. Singers and actors share the stage here, opera meets pop music, classical crime comedy meets horror film aesthetics. Nothing is sacred here, the two evenings parody everything and everyone, the performers both themselves and the audience. With all the trash and silliness and above all all the circling around oneself and one's own guild, one question arises at the end: what is the point of it all? - Apart from a lot of fun, of course.

In the finale of "Scary Opera 2" we answered this unasked question with a counter-question in the form of a grand musical finale: "What if life were more like theatre?".

Similarities to well-known films in the images and quotations are purely coincidental and of course not intended at all
